Ana serves as the Head of Sustainability at Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN), a pivotal player in realising Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
SEVEN is the execution and investment arm of the Public Investment Fund “PIF” of Saudi Arabia in the entertainment sector. Through its role as an investor, developer, and operator of various Entertainment offerings Kingdom-wide, SEVEN aims to be the leader of an entertainment ecosystem in Saudi Arabia, facilitating the presence of both international & local brands and unlocking the entertainment sector across Saudi Arabia with a mission to become the national entertainment champion. SEVEN seeks to enhance the quality of life of Saudi nationals and residents and meet their recreational expectations and needs with a wide number of entertainment projects that are planned to take place in the next 8 years.
Ana graduated from Universidade de São Paulo (USP) with a degree in Architecture and Urbanism, and furthered her education with a Master in City Planning at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on Environmental Policy and Planning. Ana has over twenty years of experience in sustainability, environmental compliance, urban planning and real estate development in KSA, UAE, USA, and Brazil. She has established a sustainability and environmental practice for companies, led the development of sustainability frameworks, energy and carbon, water and waste management strategies, sustainable development guidelines and implementation programs, as well as environmental compliance efforts for land development, infrastructure, and renewable energy projects. . Ana has not only contributed significantly to global architecture firms but has also propelled her career trajectory in the dynamic landscape of the Middle East. Ana has led sustainability teams in the Middle East since 2008, when she contributed to the development of strategic plans and green building regulations in the UAE. Prior to her tenure with SEVEN, Ana established and led the environmental and sustainability work at Diriyah Gate, spearheading the first LEED for Cities Platinum certification in KSA.
Ana’s work at SEVEN encompasses the development and implementation of a comprehensive Sustainability Framework for SEVEN. This robust Framework includes not only the environmental sustainability aspects of the complexes, but also places a strong emphasis on the social contributions from this unique project.
