Theofanis Fanourakis is a Digital Services Associate Director for Diriyah Gate Company (DGCL), which is underSaudi Arabia’sPublic Investment Fund (PIF). He oversees the development and implementation of innovative digital design and delivery processes for the exciting new development of Diriyah, which will be transformed into one of the world’s foremost lifestyle destinations for culture and heritage, hospitality, retail, and education, and will become one of the world’s great gathering places.

Theofanis holds an integrated Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from NTUA Greece, and has more than 20 years of experience ranging from design consulting, contracting, project management, and owner-operator public organizations. He has successfully ledthe implementation of innovative BIM & Digital Delivery in iconic construction projects and programmes, such as airports, stadiums, infrastructure, and large-scale mixed-use developments.He is passionate about using technology and lean processes to improve the efficiency, quality, and sustainability of the AECO sector.
