Her work moves across scales and disciplines, transported by systems thinking and fueled by a deep- rooted expertise from years of practice across public and private sectors, and enriched by academic research. Dima brings a unique depth of expertise that bridges the science of cities, circular systems, and biomaterials.
Dima provided expert advisory to the Dubai Government, led Biospheric City Lab, a boutique platform dedicated to imagining cities as living ecosystems, while teaching Urban Planning & Development as an adjunct lecturer at the Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, inspiring a new generation of city shapers. Dima is currently the founder & CEO of MycoSphere, a Dubai-based biotechnology company that crafts mycelium materials from local upcycled waste, through unlocking the hidden potential of fungi to power a regenerative future.
