Fadi Alshakhshir

Fadi S. Alshakhshir is the Executive Director of Facility Management at Dubai Holding Entertainment, with over 20 years of hands-on experience in the FM industry across the Middle East. He has led the management of some of Dubai’s most high-profile assets, building a strong track record in improving performance, reliability, and operational efficiency at scale.

Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership roles with major organisations such as Dubai Holding, Emaar, and Damac. His work has spanned the full lifecycle of assets — from design and construction through to operations — giving him a practical, end-to-end understanding of how facilities perform in real conditions. He is known for driving cost optimisation, enhancing asset reliability, and aligning facility operations with business outcomes.

His most notable contribution to the industry is the development of the Energy-Centered Maintenance (ECM) model, which links energy behaviour directly to equipment performance and maintenance strategies. This approach has been applied across multiple assets and continues to influence how organisations think about energy, maintenance, and efficiency.

Alongside his industry work, he has contributed to the field through publications, including three editions of the Energy-Centered Maintenance series, with the latest in 2025 introducing AI-driven capabilities to move toward predictive and more autonomous maintenance practices.
