Jan Neutze

Jan Neutze is a globally experienced leader at the intersection of law, technology, and public policy, with over two decades of shaping innovation-friendly regulatory frameworks across complex technological domains. He has built and led multidisciplinary teams across international organizations, government, and industry to turn regulatory challenges into drivers of growth and innovation.

Jan currently serves as Director of Sandbox Dubai, an innovative initiative of the Dubai Future Foundation and one of 100 transformative projects supporting Dubai's D33 Economic Agenda. In this role, he leads the design and implementation of adaptive regulatory frameworks that enable innovative companies to test emerging technologies and business models under structured regulatory supervision, helping position Dubai as a global hub for emerging technology.

Previously, Jan served as Vice President for EU Government Affairs at Illumina, and spent more than a decade in senior roles at Microsoft across Europe and the United States, where he focused on geopolitical affairs and the development of forward-looking regulatory frameworks for digital technologies. Earlier in his career, he worked at transatlantic think tanks in Washington, D.C., and at the Executive Office of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in New York.

Jan holds a law degree from Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster and a master's degree in international relations from Georgetown University.
